Laser vision correction

Pre-qualification

FREE

Pre-qualification for laser vision correction is performed by an optometrist. You are required to remove your contact lenses preferably 1 day or 5 hours before your appointment. During the visit, only the necessary examinations are performed, but you will learn if you are even a candidate for such a procedure. You will ask all the questions that intrigue you. You will talk to a specialist about laser vision correction. You will find that there is much more to it than reading about the procedure on the Internet.

Take advantage of the free consultation.

Comprehensive qualifying examinations

(The cost of the examination is deducted from the price of the procedure) PLN 300

During qualification, we will create a digital model of your optical system and determine your visual impairment. We will diagnose the motility and optics of the eye and how your brain reads the images you see. Reserve 3 hours for the full qualification, as multiple specialists will examine you and answer your questions.

Remember:

If you wear daily, bi-weekly or monthly contact lenses, you cannot use them for 14 days before qualifying for laser vision correction, and hard lenses for 30 days.

Follow-up visits

FREE

Follow-up visits up to 1 month after surgery include a package of ophthalmic examinations
and a full package of optometric examinations and are performed free of charge

SmartSight® microlens method

one eye PLN 4,600

The world’s newest laser vision correction with the microlens method using the Schwind Atos
femtosecond laser.

SmartSight® – a method of myopia and astigmatism correction using only the Schwind Atos femtosecond laser. During the procedure, the corneal epithelium is not interfered with and the anterior surface of the cornea is not modeled by laser. The femtosecond laser creates a microlens inside the cornea, which changes the geometry of the cornea to correct the visual defect. In addition, this method allows absolute control of the eye's position during the procedure. Scanning the eye allows the electronics to instantly track every, smallest movement of the eye during the procedure – including the previously impossible to track cyclorotation. The hitherto unattainable control of eye rotation is realized here almost perfectly. In addition, the many times smoother interphase (operated surface inside the cornea) that this laser performs has completely revolutionized myopia and astigmatism correction technology. The patient's recuperation is shortened to a minimum and much faster than with surface surgery methods. So practically the next day you can return to your normal life.

Femto PresbyMax® method (50+)

one eye PLN 4,900

Deep laser vision correction for patients over 45 years of age, allowing correction of vision defects and getting rid of an extra pair of reading glasses.

PresbyMax® – a method of correcting nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism that also enables correction of presbyopia (presbyopia), thus facilitating good close vision without the need for additional reading glasses. The procedure involves reshaping the surface of the cornea in such a way as to adjust our eyes to see at different distances. People aged 45-50 and older almost always need reading glasses. This is because the eye's optical system is no longer as efficient and cannot adjust to see objects at close distances. This is especially acute in low light.

The PresbyMax® laser treatment helps us function without additional reading glasses despite our advanced age. The proper shape of the cornea, which is made with the Schwind Amaris excimer laser, allows us to read newspapers, use the cell phone efficiently, work in the office and at home, and read books. The procedure is performed on both eyes on the same day. Vision improvement occurs almost immediately after the procedure.

SmartSurface® touch-free Higher-Order Aberrations Ocular Wavefront method

one eye PLN 3,300

Laser vision correction by surface method using Schwind Amaris laser.

SmartSurface® is the most modern surface method of vision correction. It is a combination of SmartPulse® technology and touch-free laser vision correction treatment. In procedures in which the anterior surface of the cornea is reshaped, the surgeon must first remove the epithelium, which grows back on its own after the procedure. In this procedure, the removal of the epithelium and subsequent corneal modeling is done in a single medical procedure. The procedure is performed entirely by the laser beam with no contact of the eye surface with mechanical devices. At the end of the procedure, the laser performs corneal smoothing with SmartPulse® technology, which allows during laser vision correction to achieve a flawlessly smooth corneal surface. As a result, patients experience immediate results in the form of sharp vision immediately after the procedure. The period of full recovery is shorter and the quality of vision improves faster compared to traditional surface vision correction methods.

In addition, the procedure uses Higher-Order Aberrations Ocular Wavefront technology – that is, the correction of vision defects taking into account not only the basic vision defects of nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism, but also vision defects caused by higher- order aberrations (HOA) not only of the cornea as in customized (Cornea Wavefront), but of the entire visual system (Ocular Wavefront). Higher-order aberrations are those visual defects that cannot be corrected with glasses or typical contact lenses. Evaluation of corneal higher-order aberrations is performed on the Schwind Sirius diagnostic station and Schwind Peramis

FemtoLasik SmartPulse® Higher-Order Aberrations Ocular Wavefront Method

one eye PLN 4,600

Laser vision correction by deep corneal reshaping using Schwind Amaris and Schwind Atos lasers.

This is one of the most popular laser vision correction procedures. The FemtoLasik method is designed to remove defects in a wide range: myopia from -1.5 D to -10.0 D, and astigmatism and hyperopia up to +6 D. In the first stage of vision defect correction, a thin corneal flap (flap) is produced, and then the Schwind Amaris excimer laser precisely shapes the deep layers of the cornea. Thanks to the use of the Schwind Atos femtosecond laser, the flap produced is many times smoother than with other femtosecond lasers – this is extremely important for the patient and post-operative results. After the deep corneal shaping is completed, the corneal flap returns to its original place, becoming a perfect dressing.

Evaluation of corneal higher-order aberrations is performed on the Schwind Sirius diagnostic station and Schwind Peramis.

LASEK SmartPulse® method

one eye PLN 2,900

Laser vision correction by surface method using Schwind Amaris laser.

The LASEK method is indicated in cases of too thin corneas, as well as when, for various reasons, the SmartSight®, SmartSurface®, EBK with SmartPulse® or FemtoLASIK methods cannot be performed. The procedure is performed under drip anesthesia. At our Clinic, LASEK is used to correct nearsightedness up to -7.0 D or farsightedness up to + 6.0 D with/without astigmatism. In the LASEK method, a special fluid is applied to soften and push back the superficial corneal epithelial layer. The surgeon then performs photoablation – laser shaping of the cornea using the Schwind Amaris excimer laser. At the end of the procedure, a contact lens is placed for 4 -7 days. Correct vision after LASEK procedures usually appears after about 2-4 weeks.

Evaluation of corneal higher-order aberrations is performed on the Schwind Sirius diagnostic station and Schwind Peramis.

EBK SmartPulse® Higher-Order Aberrations Ocular Wavefront Method

one eye PLN 3,800

Laser vision correction with surface method using Schwind Amaris laser. The EBK method with Smart Pulse® technology involves gentle removal of the epithelium without interfering with the deeper layers (Bowman's layer remains intact). The dynamic epi keratome removes the epithelium layer by layer, while collecting the removed cells. The advantage of EBK is that there is no need for metal instruments or chemicals. This method guarantees patient comfort due to the short recovery time and less pain after the procedure. In addition, SmartPulse® technology makes the cornea perfectly smooth which cannot be achieved without the use of Swind Amaris laser.

PTK therapeutic treatment

one eye PLN 1,900

PTK (phototherapeutic keratectomy) treatment.

The PTK procedure is performed to eliminate scars and deformities of the cornea caused by disease processes or trauma. Such deformities formed on the anterior surface of the cornea can significantly impair visual acuity even in an eye that has no visual defect. The procedure restores the smoothness of the corneal surface eliminating defects that impede correct vision.

Qualification for refractive surgery to correct vision defects

PLN 300

We can correct vision defects with many surgical methods. The first choice is laser vision correction, but sometimes this type of surgery, for various medical reasons, is not recommended. As an alternative, there are two other surgical methods – implantation of a phakic ICL lens under the iris, or refractive replacement of the intraocular lens. During qualification for this type of surgery, the patient undergoes many tests. He talks with the surgeon who will operate on him. Set aside about three hours for the appointment. If you wear contact lenses you must stop wearing them a week before the appointment.

Qualification for corneal cone therapy

PLN 300

Corneal cone is a progressive disease that involves thinning of the cornea and its convexity in the central and peripheral parts. In 90% of cases, it affects both eyes. It is most often diagnosed in the second or third decade of a patient’s life. Early diagnosis and implementation of treatment are very important, as they offer a chance to maintain visual acuity and stop the progression of the cone. On the other hand, untreated cones can lead to significant visual impairment and the need for corneal transplantation. Qualification takes place with a surgeon. Book an hour for your appointment.
